Welcome everyone!

I’m delighted you are here and are joining me on this great adventure known as Life.  Here we are living fully present and aware and open to what Life is revealing to us.  I am in service not just to my own wondrous divine potential, but to yours and to our social potential.  I believe that we are here to embody the opportunity to be a guardian species in service to this beautiful planet.

My last podcast, which was launched on 11/11/11, was called Heart of It All and it was birthed out of the spiritual ministry and movement building organization One Becoming One.  After 6 years of weekly episodes which can still be found on Soundcloud, my work as host and producer took a hiatus as I moved to Colorado and began deeper collaboration with Barbara Marx Hubbard to birth the Planetary Mission, the Synergy Engine and to bring the fullness of the Wheel of Cocreation and more out into the world. 

Then in 2/22/22, Awakening Together was born.  I knew the time had come to step back into the world of generative interviews and dialogues with people in all walks of life who have stories to tell who are making a difference in the world at this time of Great Transition.  I also knew that there was a new name.  It quickly became clear that it was about who we are together, and our journey of awakening - awakening out of a deep slumber, awakening into our greatest potential, and doing this together.  What are the collective intelligence, wisdom, consciousness practices needed now.  I believe that we are in a time when as a species we are fully remembering that we are woven intimately into the great web of life, and that this embodiment of true wholeness demands us to step boldly into a different kind of growth process.  We are not awakening just on our own, we are all together in this.  Within this awareness, there is so much light and grace available.  

Now who am I?

I am a generative futurist for an enlightened civilization. I am an explorer, a seeker, a lover, a healer, a catalyst, an alchemist, a soul who has incarnated now to participate in these wild times on planet earth. I am a water steward and protector, a communicator of our greatest potential, a bioregional earth regenerator, and a storyteller curating the stories of the new paradigm emerging in our midst.  Barbara once told me that I “hold the sacred evolutionary gestalt of the new paradigm”.  When she named this ‘function in culture’, I could feel the power of the resonance of truth that rang inside my body.  Many of us are holding this gestalt and calling it forth.  If you are reading this, you are probably one of those people.

I want to affirm the insight of Walt Whitman in Song of Myself when he says “I am vast; I contain multitudes.”  Me too!  So with that in mind, here is part of the story of my identity thus far.

I am here for a world that works for all.  I am here to bring forth Heaven on Earth in our lifetime.  These great visions are not abstract, they live inside me like a living divine template of the Life Divine which is calling me.  My yearning is part of my evolutionary blueprint.  From Code 17:  ‘Ask boldly and deeply for your greatest heart’s desire; for coded in that desire is the blueprint of your evolutionary potential.’

I am a systems thinker/feeler/healer, an evolutionary social architect, pattern weaver and new paradigm storyteller.  This has always been my way.  I was never wired for diving into the parts.  I always felt the whole first and then found my way toward the parts as they fit and synergized within the greater context.  Having traversed through the jungles of academia, corporate law firms, media making, grassroots activism organizing, and large-scale systems change, I bring a wealth of embodied experience for synergistic cocreation as we bring forth the conditions conducive for a planetary phase change.  This phase change we can now consciously choose to be aligned with the Principles of Living Systems and Natural Law.  We are all now awakening into the collective capacity of conscious evolution.  We are architects of our future, not victims.

Deepening the Story - How did I get here?

My journey began when I was quite young in the woods of Connecticut where I was mentored by Nature through the trees and the ponds and the frogs and rocks and the seasons.  Nature was truly my first teacher.  Early on I knew there was a deep and perennial way of being in right relationship with the world around and within me.  I have always been guided by a natural sense of the oneness with all creation and I have been working in many ways to restore this unity in the world through media and storytelling, through social innovation, through coalition building, through healing personally and transpersonally, through learning and studying and then implementing in so many beautiful ways.  The relevance of an operating system that is based on Nature Law rather than on scientifically outdated understandings of reality has laid a foundation for how I seek to live an ethical life and be in harmony within myself and others.  Life has brought me many lessons (painful and ecstatic) and Natural Law (and the Rights of Nature) has been by my side as I seek to inspire others to go beyond assumptions and into the deeper design principles of the Universe.  With this clairgnosis at the heart of my soul’s code even before I knew how to name it, I was guided by Spirit to work with indigenous leaders going back 32 years and to be a voice for their stories and their struggles for sovereignty.  This also taught me the lessons of the wisdom of the elders and what will be needed to truly live in harmony in this country and reorganizing how we govern ourselves.  I am grateful to have had the kind of integrity in my storytelling back in the 90’s to be seen as a ‘white journalist who could be trusted’ by the First Nations in Canada and the Indigenous peoples of Turtle Island.  Once you have been initiated in this way, it never leaves you.  As John Trudell once said during his Spoken Word tour, ‘We are all indigenous’.  We all have this Gaian Codex within us.  What else are those 5 billion miles of DNA coil doing?  There is latent DNA waiting to be awakened when we gather together in new ways…

Back to my story

Bolstered with a graduate school education in whole system design and interdisciplinary studies and teaching Cinema Studies at University (which I loved), I reaped the benefits of learning through the academic reaches and research, while implementing these wisdom insights from evolutionary biology and biomimicry and the best of organizational development tools, toward how we can inspire a more (r)evolutionary approach to how we design and innovate and organize ourselves in teams and in culture.  I’ve been a social pioneer in the newsroom and in establishing coalitions and in social entrepreneurship with launching citizen journalism worldwide, starting in Seattle and spreading through this country and to over 250 media centers around the world.  This taught me about implementing a living system, scaling it and using emergence and an understanding of life’s design and guidance system to do so.  You can’t learn this kind of thing in school.  It’s about embodiment, not concept.  We have crossed into the Age of Embodiment.  New skills and capacities are needed.

When the woods of New England, which was a kind of Middle Earth Lothlorien for me, showed me the patterns of the cosmos down at the level of pond and forest, this experience gave me a trust in my own direct experience as taking precedence over outside authority.  It also led me on a path of seeking truth and understanding and healing.  I have spent decades exploring first principles, feeling into the edges of my imagination that was always calling to me, clearing away the programming of my family lineage and the global culture I was born into, and healing the collective trauma that is in us all. To this path I have been devoted so that I could stand as a Pillar of Light in this New Earth Temple with all of the other Pillars of Light.  As the Taoists remind us, we are the conduit, we humans, between Heaven and Earth.  I take this as a truth.  With this devotion, my question was always how can I be of service to my soul’s work and this led me to live inside a constant prayer.  

Even with my born again Christian upbringing and my mother’s Jewish lineage, I knew early on that I had to heal myself so that this beautiful body I have incarnated into, could be a clear vessel through which the divine could easily flow through.  Then my words become a transmission and can serve even more powerfully.  The gift of this devotion is that I hold wisdom as well as strategy built on experience and an innate understanding of systems; I hold deep inspiration and vision past the present moment, as well as healing powers and the ability to see things that remain hidden to others.  My heart keeps expanding, my love keeps growing, my clairsentience keeps flourishing.

I am in love with God.  I am devoted to Original Christianity and the wisdom traditions that sit at the heart of all the great religions.  Christ-Consciousness and the Mother, Sophia, the feminine phase of God, are intimately woven into my guidance system.

Every step I have walked, every encounter I have had, all the lessons I have learned and integrated, all these get synthesized and transmuted into embodying these as codes, sacred, social and Gaian codes. Along with all the other beautiful pioneers and members of the Synarchy, who are holding these within them as their unique gifts and offerings, this is becoming the new planetary OS that is slowly weaving into the outdated systems - we are beautifully creating new models that make the old ones obsolete.  We are a bridge and we are a catalyst in this crucible of evolutionary transformation.

In my heart of hearts, I am also a mystic (in the marketplace) and a whole systems designer and my podcast, Awakening Together, is devoted to illuminating the deepest codes of the emerging gestalt, the ancient future ways of being.  As a conscious evolutionary, I serve a regenerative culture and integrative healing, and harmony and beauty as the ethical foundations for a civilization redesign.  Maybe it’s really not a redesign but a design for the first time because we are consciously doing it from a place of wholeness and connection, not separation.  Here we can understand and embody the dynamics of intimate kinship with Life thus we can stand in harmony with the patterns of life emerging through us.

From here, I weave Indigenous Wisdom, Natural Law, Feminine Intelligence and integral embodiment practices into every aspect of my life and how I engage with individuals, groups, teams, organizations, networks, movements. For the last 34 years, I have been pioneering through whole systems design to create new forms for culture to be fully actualized.

I love mentoring and offering up my toolkit to those on the path who are ready to step into their own next level leadership and stewardship and who are ready to learn and grow at the evolutionary edge of emergence and systems transformation; I love engaging with social systems and governance, relationships and healing collective trauma, conscious media, and embodied communication protocols.  I love co-sensing into what are the trim tabs and elegant interventions into systems change, especially at this moment in time when the bifurcation choice point is upon us.  How we collectively choose in alignment makes all the difference, and how can we take our cutting edge wisdom-knowledge and put it into ‘living labs’ that continue past the first prototype will make all the difference.  It’s so simple really - loving ourselves, loving and respecting each other, healing and allowing our creativity to serve the greatest wholeness of Life.  We need to be calling each other into our greatness.

This is what I like to call the new “social DNA,” through which we can nurture the seeds of a new paradigm and midwife a wiser planetary civilization.  Some of my friends and I call this wisdom-driven organizations and wisdom-driven civilization.  

Ultimately this is about cultivating new social functions with the leaders who have been preparing themselves and are ready.  We are the ones we’ve been waiting for and it’s time.
